Why the DROP?
The DROP is a patent-pending magazine release created to solve a common problem with traditional magazine releases. Some shooters are unable to:
Reach the OEM magazine release without shifting or breaking their grip
Apply enough inward pressure with their thumb to activate it consistently
Most aftermarket solutions simply make the button larger. The DROP takes a different approach: it's a lever that replaces your existing OEM button magazine release, solving both issues:
Extends the release to the rear and easily within reach of the strong-hand thumb
Changes the motion from push-in to push down
Takes just a couple of minutes to install with hammer and punch.
Compatible with all Springfield Echelon OEM Frames
Compact Frame (e.g. 4.0C)
Full-Size Frame (e.g. 4.0FC, 4.5F)
What's Included
DROP Lever + Cap
Custom MAG-MO EDGE Grip
Each EDGE grip is custom-made based on the shooter's hand size. After placing an order, a sizing photo must be provided so the grip can be tailored accordingly.
Customization Options
Every DROP + EDGE set is built to order with lots of customization options:
Right-handed or left-handed (lefties lives matter!)
Support-side profile: OEM, EDGE, or Weighted EDGE (W-EDGE)
The W-EDGE is a weighted version of the EDGE designed to help reduce felt recoil and improve control.
Depending on grip size, the W-EDGE adds approximately 2 to 6 ounces of weight.
When selecting the Weighted EDGE option, a maximum added weight can be specified. This is a "do not exceed" limit rather than an exact target. Final added weight will vary based on grip size and configuration.
Textures: Hex (Least Adhesion), Diamond (OK for CCW), Bowtie (good for CCW), Ninja (best for CCW), Silicon Carbide - Fine (60 grit), Silicon Carbide - Coarse (32 grit)
Personalization: lettering (up to 7 characters)

It’s a perfect fit, allowing me to get more support hand on the gun, and the increased friction helps control and reduce recoil and muzzle flip. It also positions my hands in a more natural way, helping with my presentation and index on the pistol. Ran it so far at 4 or 5 matches. My Canik grips are perfect even after 30.000 rounds. Will get Echelon Comp in about 14 days and I can't think of not having your grips. I broke my Canik barrel but not your grips. Allen (Nov 2025)
