This concept rose from a need of a friend who's a disabled veteran. He shoots but has difficulty with the tool-less guide rod systems. His support hand couldn't adequately engage the small button to extend the locking mechanism....I suggested he revert back to the good 'ol paper clip method...which worked far and away the best and was less complicated to engage.

His left hand battle scars also made it difficult to fashion his "paper clip tool"... using tweezers to unbend and craft... I suggested I give it a go...and came back the next day with the first of these custom high strength stainless steel guide rod tools....a bit longer in length to remedy his dexterity issues.

I saw an opportunity to fill a niche...of convenience, and a level of precision of a tool befitting for the higher priced, super-custom hammer fired 2011s and 1911s... no more looking thru your office drawers for a paper clip...no more sitting at your bench straightening and bending using your wife's tweezers... some even use common staples!

Todays discriminating pistol shooter deserves a better implement... these are that tool.
