It's a direct fit for all Discovery and 2260 models with a factory wood stock. The slot in the plastic stock for Maximus and Fortitude models needs to be cut or filed 3/8" longer towards the front to fit, this is very easy to do, the plastic is thin in that location.

With a short travel and light pull this group produces fast response and improved accuracy making it ideal for hunting and target shooting. With the thinnest trigger blade in the industry and a larger trigger guard there's a lot more room for adult-sized fingers and gloves. The trigger pull varies from around 5 oz to 4 lbs. depending on how it's adjusted, how much hammer spring tension you have and how smooth your hammer assembly works. The casing is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. It's not a copy of the original, it's re-engineered to fit and function better. The custom trigger is 7075-T6 aluminum anodized black, the safety is black-oxide stainless steel. The trigger return-spring and adjustment set-screws are stainless steel. The custom sear is made of heat-treated 410 stainless steel, it's extremely tough, durable and functions ultra-smooth.

It's shipped ready to mount and use at a safe but very responsive adjustment, good for both hunting and target shooting. Further adjustment can cause the gun to fire unexpectedly or not at all, so it should only be adjusted by experienced individuals. A .050" hex wrench or bit (not included) is needed to adjust the travel screws. The top screw is the forward travel adjustment for the trigger, it should be set to where the safety engages smoothly without binding against the trigger but the trigger should have little to no wiggle-room, this is where it's set before shipping. The bottom screw adjusts how far down the sear will move, it can be adjusted to limit trigger pull to only what's needed for the gun to fire. Too short of a travel adjustment can prevent the gun from firing when the trigger is pulled. This is a dangerous situation where the hammer is partially released and could fire unexpectedly. To correct this safely, fully-cock the gun and engage the safety. Then adjust the screw away from the trigger until it will fire correctly. Make sure the gun is pointed in a safe direction art all times.

The last photo shows what the internal parts look like, the casing in that photo is not bead blasted but everything else is correct. The casing you will receive is bead-blasted like in the first two photos, the cover is plain/shiny finish.
