THE LAST TWO PHOTOS SHOW HOW THE GENUINE FACTORY SCREW ASSEMBLY LOOKS, AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLDER GENUINE, NEWER GENUINE AND FAKE/CLONE LIGHT SCREW AND SPRING RECESSES LOOK. THE CLONES HAVE A SMALLER SPRING RECESS THAT THE FLANGED SCREW FOR GENUINE MODELS WILL NOT FIT ALL THE WAY DOWN INTO. A SMALLER-DIAMETER SCREW IS INCLUDED TO FIT THE CLONES. THIS KIT INCLUDES ONE SCREW THAT FITS GENUINE STREAMLIGHT MODELS AND ONE OPTIONAL SCREW THAT FITS BOTH GENUINE AND FAKE/CLONE MODELS. IF YOU NEED THE WRENCHES FOR THOSE, I HAVE A DIFFERENT KIT LISTED THAT INCLUDES THEM. THE FLANGED SCREW FOR THE GENUINE MODELS HAS A 2.5mm SOCKET, THE OPTIONAL SCREW HAS A 3mm SOCKET.

I'm Bill Baldyga, owner of Magnum Airpower LLC. I'm the originator of upgrade screw kits for Streamlight TLR models. I did the work to find the best high-grade screw with the perfect fit. I did the destructive and durability testing with several types of firearms and thousands of rounds of ammo to work it all out perfectly. Don't buy from copycat sellers who are blatantly pirating my products with what are typically lower-grade and untested screws. I get dozens of messages every week from customers who tried screw kits others sell only to have them come loose, break, not fit correctly or not fit in a holster. Don't waste your time and money, buy the original genuine product from the originator.

 This upgrade alloy-steel mounting-screw kit is a lot easier to tighten, loosen and holds a lot more secure and stable than the original factory mounting setup. The main photo shows this kit installed, the second photo shows the screw itself which is the item you are going to receive. The light is shown for reference only, this listing is only for the screw shown in the second photo.

INSTRUCTIONS: Completely remove the original factory screw, spring and e-clip from the weapon light, you will not need any of those parts with this screw kit. Install the upgrade screw into the socket where the spring was located, the head of the screw should fit all the way down into the socket where the spring used to be. If it doesn't fit all the way down into the socket, you have a fake/clone light which should fit the included optional screw.

Too much torque can damage the weapon-light and rail, so no more than 12-15 inch-lbs. is recommended. The flanged screw, which only fits genuine Streamlight models, has a 2.5mm hex socket. The optional screw, which fits both genuine and clone models, has a 3mm hex socket.
