Pewcentric was created to give firearms makers, trainers, and innovators a place to grow. In this video, Dave shares the story behind the platform, the gap it fills, and how it helps creators turn passion into a real business.
In this episode, Dave shares the story behind Pewcentric and why he created a marketplace specifically for firearms makers, trainers, and innovators.
Dave explains that his journey into firearms started relatively recently after being introduced to shooting by a friend. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a deeper passion for learning, training, and improving.
As he explored the space, Dave noticed something important: many of the best products, services, and training in the firearms community come from independent creators. However, these creators often struggle to be discovered because there is no centralized platform built specifically for them.
Traditional marketplaces either restrict firearm-related products or fail to support the unique needs of this community. As a result, many talented makers and trainers remain hidden despite offering high-quality products and services.
Pewcentric was built to solve this problem.
The platform serves as a dedicated marketplace where firearm-related businesses can grow, connect with customers, and showcase their work. It focuses on “everything but the guns,” allowing creators to safely offer accessories, services, and training without platform restrictions.
Dave’s goal with Pewcentric is to empower creators to turn their passion into a real business while helping buyers discover unique and high-quality offerings in one place.
(0:00) you
(0:05) Hey, Dave here from Pewcentric — the marketplace for firearms enthusiasts just like you discover unique gear, services, and training.
(0:11) Basically, everything but the guns.
(0:13) As the founder of Pewcentric, I've met so many incredible makers, trainers, and experts who have already joined the marketplace.
(0:21) And through my Inside the Pew interview series, I get to ask individual sellers why and how they created their firearms business.
(0:29) In the course of these conversations, the question I get back a lot is: why did I create Pewcentric?
(0:34) Simply put, I created Pewcentric out of gratitude for the people who enriched my own firearms journey.
(0:40) While many folks grew up around guns or have decades of experience, my path is actually pretty recent.
(0:46) A friend brought me to the range five years ago where I picked up a handgun for the first time, and I was instantly hooked.
(0:52) From that moment, I wanted to learn everything I could.
(0:55) What I quickly discovered is that buying a firearm is really just the start of a journey.
(1:00) As gun owners, we have this natural drive to upgrade, customize, and improve.
(1:05) That means finding better gear, better training, and better ways to develop our skills.
(1:10) And that’s where I started to meet incredible people in this space.
(1:14) Makers building unique products.
(1:17) Trainers offering valuable instruction.
(1:20) Experts sharing their knowledge and experience.
(1:23) But I also noticed something else.
(1:26) Many of these creators didn’t have a central place to be discovered.
(1:30) They were scattered across different platforms, often hard to find.
(1:34) And in many cases, the platforms they relied on weren’t built for them.
(1:39) Some marketplaces restrict or remove firearm-related content.
(1:43) Even when it’s not firearms themselves, but accessories or services.
(1:48) That creates real challenges for creators trying to build a business.
(1:53) And for buyers trying to find what they need.
(1:56) That gap is what led to Pewcentric.
(2:00) A marketplace focused on everything but the guns.
(2:04) A place where creators can showcase their work.
(2:07) And where buyers can discover unique gear, services, and training.
(2:12) All in one place.
(2:14) Pewcentric is built specifically for this community.
(2:18) With the goal of supporting creators and helping them grow.
(2:22) Because the best ideas, products, and training often come from small, independent creators.
(2:28) And they deserve a platform that works for them.
(2:32) Not against them.
(2:34) At the same time, it makes it easier for buyers to explore.
(2:38) To discover new products.
(2:40) To connect with trainers.
(2:42) And to continue their own journey.
(2:45) Because that’s really what this is about.
(2:48) Growth.
(2:50) Learning.
(2:52) And building something meaningful within this community.
(2:56) Whether you’re a creator looking to grow your business.
(3:00) Or a buyer looking to improve your skills.
(3:03) Pewcentric is here to support that journey.
(3:07) And that’s why I created it.
(3:10) To give this community a place to thrive.
(3:13) To turn passion into something real.
(3:16) And to make it easier for people to connect, learn, and grow.
(3:20) If you’re interested in learning more or becoming part of the marketplace.
(3:24) Visit pewcentric.com.
(3:27) And as always, please like and subscribe to help grow the community.
(3:31) And I’ll see you in the next video.
