The CT3D Pedestal One is designed to solve a common issue for firearm photographers, collectors, and content creators: universal pistol display compatibility. Traditional magwell stands can be limiting, especially when displaying pistols with inserted magazines or unique configurations.

In this review, Dave tests the Pedestal One with multiple firearms and replicas, including the Springfield Hellcat, CZ Shadow 2, PX4 Storm, and a custom handmade replica pistol. The goal is to evaluate stability, compatibility, presentation angle, and overall usability.

Unlike lightweight plastic stands, the Pedestal One uses a weighted design with a non slip base to improve stability across different surfaces. Its adjustable trim kit system allows the stand to support a wide variety of pistols while maintaining a clean display angle for photography and presentation.

The result is a compact, sturdy, and versatile display stand that improves both aesthetics and practicality for firearm content creation and display setups.

(0:00) Universal compatibility challenge accepted.

(0:08) Almost every day at Pewcentric, we are taking photos of firearms.

(0:09) And for the longest time, I have been using this stand right here.

(0:11) The kind that just inserts into the magwell.

(0:14) It works okay, but I do not love the angle that the pistol sits at.

(0:18) And it definitely does not work with everything.

(0:21) So today we are putting the CT3D Pedestal One to the test.

(0:23) The pistols we are testing are just a selection from my own collection.

(0:30) First we have the very small and very hard to display Springfield Hellcat.

(0:35) Which is for EDC sporting the magazine in it.

(0:40) That is important because with my old stand, if I wanted to show the pistol with the magazine inserted, it just would not work.

(0:52) We also have a VR pistol from 71 Creative sporting the MAG MO weighted grip.

(0:58) Basically it is a CZ Shadow 2 identical in every way.

(1:07) I also have an actual CZ Shadow 2 right next to it.

(1:12) Which is my carry optics gun.

(1:16) We also have the PX4 Storm.

(1:22) And finally this beautiful pistol my daughter made for Christmas to mimic my CZ Shadow 2.

(1:28) It even has a Holosun optic on top.

(1:41) Let us see what comes in the box.

(1:43) I always love it when sellers use branded tape.

(1:46) It adds to the whole experience.

(1:53) We have the Pedestal One with a handwritten thank you note.

(1:59) We also have a CT3D Studios keychain.

(2:10) The first thing I notice is that this is weighted.

(2:14) You can immediately tell this is a high quality piece.

(2:21) There are multiple components including a non slip base on the bottom.

(2:28) It prevents sliding across surfaces.

(2:32) It is also much smaller than I expected.

(2:41) I really like the angle because it gives a more artistic display presentation.

(2:52) Especially for photography and video.

(2:57) My current plastic stand weighs 1.85 ounces.

(3:04) The CT3D Pedestal One weighs 5.8 ounces.

(3:12) You can absolutely feel the difference immediately.

(3:18) The pistol slides into a channel system.

(3:25) There is an optional trim kit that changes how far forward the pistol sits.

(3:38) This is how it achieves near universal compatibility.

(3:54) Let us test it with the Springfield Hellcat.

(4:03) My old stand worked, but I could not display the extended magazine.

(4:13) With the Pedestal One it works beautifully.

(4:18) Exceptionally sturdy.

(4:26) Removing the trim kit does not change much because this is a smaller pistol.

(4:37) Next we test the VR pistol from 71 Creative.

(4:44) It fits a little tight, but still works well.

(4:57) It remains very sturdy and stable.

(5:06) Now let us test the real CZ Shadow 2.

(5:11) It slides in perfectly.

(5:16) Without the trim kit, it sits lower.

(5:23) Adding the trim kit raises the presentation angle.

(5:28) Beautiful.

(5:31) Next we have the PX4 Storm.

(5:37) It works perfectly as well.

(5:42) In this case the trim kit does not make much difference.

(5:50) Finally, we test my daughter’s handmade pistol replica.

(6:01) Surprisingly, it still works very well.

(6:09) Unless you really force it, it is not going to fall over.

(6:19) So what is the verdict.

(6:21) I like it more than my current stand.

(6:23) As someone who photographs firearms almost every day, it improves presentation and usability.

(6:29) The angle is cleaner.

(6:31) It works with more of my equipment.

(6:35) Especially if I want to show extended magazine base plates.

(6:37) It is compact and does not slide around.

(6:42) This is what I will be using going forward.

(6:45) So do not be surprised if you start seeing this in upcoming Pewcentric videos.

(7:03) Since we are talking about stands and display setups, how do you display your pistols.
