This walkthrough shows how to start selling on Pewcentric: create your account, verify your email, set up payouts, and publish your first listing. Pewcentric 101 is a quick-start series to help sellers understand and grow on the platform.
In this step-by-step guide, Dave from Pewcentric walks new sellers through how to sign up and create their first listing on the Pewcentric marketplace in under 10 minutes.
Pewcentric is a niche marketplace designed for firearms enthusiasts looking for unique gear, services, and training...everything but the guns. The platform is free to join, making it easy for both beginners and experienced sellers to start selling online.
The process is broken down into four simple steps: creating an account, verifying your email, setting up your payout method, and publishing your first listing.
Using a sample business called Frontier Leatherworks, Dave demonstrates how to create a product listing, choose the correct category, set pricing, configure shipping, and upload high-quality images.
All listings go through a quick approval process to ensure they follow Pewcentric’s guidelines. Once approved, listings become searchable across the marketplace and visible on the seller’s custom shop page.
This tutorial highlights how simple and accessible it is to launch a seller account and start generating income through Pewcentric.
(0:01) You.
(0:06) Hey, Dave here from Pewcentric, the marketplace for firearms enthusiasts just like you to discover unique gear, services, and training.
(0:12) Basically everything but the guns.
(0:15) Pewcentric is free and easy to use, and in less than 10 minutes you can go from zero to having your product or service listed and selling in the marketplace.
(0:23) If you've ever used eBay or Etsy, this will feel familiar.
(0:26) But even if you're brand new to selling online, it comes down to just four simple steps.
(0:33) Step one, creating your free Pewcentric account.
(0:36) Step two, verifying your email.
(0:38) Step three, setting up your payout, which is how you get paid when you make a sale on the marketplace.
(0:44) And step four, creating your first listing.
(0:48) And in order to illustrate these steps, I'll assume the role of the owner of a leather workshop called Frontier Leatherworks that creates high-quality accessories for firearms,
(0:57) including a rifle sling.
(1:00) So the first step is to create your free account.
(1:02) I'll just open up my favorite browser and go to pewcentric.com, click Sign Up in the upper right corner, then Seller, and then simply fill in my name, email, phone, password,
(1:17) and a display name.
(1:18) This is the name that buyers will see on the system.
(1:21) And for me, I'll just have it mirror my actual business name, Frontier Leatherworks.
(1:28) And now I just accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and then click Sign Up.
(1:33) In order to verify your email, you simply check your inbox and click the verification link.
(1:39) If you don't see this email in your inbox, it might be in your spam folder.
(1:44) Every important action in Pewcentric sends a notification to the email you provided—
(1:50) customer messages, password resets, payout notifications—
(1:55) so make sure that all emails from pewcentric.com go to your inbox or your favorite folder and not into the spam folder.
(2:03) Once you click on the verification link, you're brought back to Pewcentric, where we can optionally amplify our profile with additional information like a profile
(2:14) photo or logo, adding a short bio, and even reserving our shop name.
(2:19) And for my business, Frontier Leatherworks, I think pewcentric.com slash FrontierLeatherworks is a perfect name for my shop page.
(2:28) Now to set up your payout, you can choose whether to receive them as an individual or as a business with your tax ID.
(2:35) Pewcentric uses a third-party payment processor for secure identity and bank account verification.
(2:41) Pewcentric never stores your bank or Social Security number.
(2:46) Our payment processor handles all of that and has decades of experience doing it securely and safely for customers all around the world.
(2:55) Once you're verified, you're then ready to receive payouts.
(2:59) So now we have our account fully set up, our email verified, and our payout configured—
(3:08) but that's like having a store with no products on the shelves.
(3:11) So now we need to create our first listing.
(3:17) Everything in Pewcentric is categorized into gear, services, and training.
(3:27) I strongly encourage you to look at other sellers for inspiration—how they've created listings that are engaging, easy to understand, and really encourage customers to click through and purchase the product or service.
(3:31) So to get our listing into the marketplace, just click Create Listing at the top of the page.
(3:39) To make your products and services easy to find, it's important to put the listing in the right categories.
(3:46) In the case of my leather sling, I'll select Product as the listing type.
(3:51) Notice that Gear is automatically selected as the category, and then Sling as the subcategory.
(3:58) I'll create a basic title as well as a brief description for now.
(4:03) And of course, I can always come back later to improve and expand it.
(4:08) And now I get to set a price.
(4:10) I'm charging $99 each.
(4:13) And I have plenty in stock, or I can make them very quickly.
(4:16) So I'll just leave the stock amount blank.
(4:20) For shipping, I typically charge $10, but if customers buy more than one item, I give them a discount and charge only $5 for additional items in the same order.
(4:31) And on this last step, all I need to do is upload a couple of high-quality photos.
(4:36) And note that the first photo is always automatically selected as the thumbnail.
(4:42) And then I just click Publish, and that's it.
(4:45) I've created my first listing.
(4:47) You'll note that it shows “Waiting for Approval.”
(4:50) That's because every listing is reviewed under our “Everything but the Guns” policy here at Pewcentric—
(4:56) a process that usually takes just a few hours.
(4:59) Once approved, it goes live.
(5:01) Buyers can now find you by browsing the whole marketplace, searching for a specific item like “leather sling” or “rifle sling,”
(5:09) or visiting your shop page.
(5:11) And in my case, that's pewcentric.com/FrontierLeatherworks.
(5:15) And you can create as many listings as you want—both products and services.
(5:19) Your imagination is the only limit.
(5:22) If you ever need help, including advice on creating a compelling listing, you can email us anytime at hello@pewcentric.com.
(5:30) We look forward to seeing you on the marketplace, and welcome to Pewcentric.
